Nancy H. Fullam, a founding partner in the law firm of McEldrew & Fullam, is highly regarded as one of the finest medical malpractice and products liability lawyers in Pennsylvania. She has won many record settlements and awards on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Fullam was awarded the 25th annual Justice Michael A. Musmanno Award for her courage and intellect and for her outstanding legal service, representing the best qualities of a dedicated trial lawyer who always takes a firm stance against cruelty and injustice. Among her many other honors, Ms. Fullam has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. In 1991, she received an award for Distinguished Child Advocacy from the Support Center for Child Advocates in Philadelphia. In 1996, she was honored with the Equal Justice Award from Community Legal Services. She has twice served on the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association and was appointed to Chair that governing body. In addition, she served as president of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and received the Milton Rosenberg Award from the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and has now been elected President of that Association.
Ms. Fullam’s service to the bar has extended beyond Philadelphia: she has been a member of the Board of Governors and the House of Delegates for the Pennsylvania Bar Association. A powerful voice for victims’ rights in the courtroom and the legislature, she was chosen by her peers to be one of three members of the trial bar to participate on the negotiating team created by the President Pro Tem of the Senate to address the medical malpractice crisis.
In addition, Ms. Fullam has served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Legal Services Corporation, the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program, the Support Center for Child Advocates, and the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia. She is also an adjunct faculty member of the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, Master in Trial Advocacy Program.
Ms. Fullam graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. At Villanova Law School, she served on law review. Throughout college and law school, she was a research assistant to the late and much honored Judge A. Leon Higginbotham, who nurtured her interest in the law and public service.
Ms. Fullam has also been a .true leader of the plaintiffs' trial bar in Pennsylvania, serving as President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association in 1994-95. She received the Milton Rosenberg Award from the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association in 2001, and is now President-Elect of PaTLA. She has chaired the PaTLA Legislative Policy Committee and has been a Trustee of LawPAC, but her service to both of these trial lawyers organizations includes active membership and service on other committees too numerous to mention.
Ms. Fullam has served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Legal Services Corporation, the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program, the Support Center for Child Advocates, and the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia. For the Gregory Moyer Defibrillation Fund, she helped to get defibrillators into every public high school in Philadelphia. She has chaired the Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention for the Philadelphia Bar Association, and has been a Hearing Officer for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Always willing to help her fellow members of the bar, Nancy has lectured in CLE programs for many schools and organizations. She is also an adjunct faculty member of the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, Masters in Trial Advocacy Program.
Ms. Fullam resides in Newtown Square. She is the daughter of the Honorable John P. Fullam and Mrs. Alice Fullam.
